Due to significant commercial growth in this sector, WSP Power and Energy is seeking to enhance the expertise of our Power and Energy  team We are currently looking for an Senior Civil Engineer based in Arnhem or Rotterdam

YOUR NEW ROLE, WHATS INVOLVED?

• We are looking for an Senior Civil Engineer who is ready to take the next step within their career.
• You need to have strong communication and technical skills as you act as a mentor to Junior Engineers within the organization.
• Assisting with the design and construction of civil engineering projects within power and energy
• Performing calculations and analysis.
• Leading and managing technical design processes on multi disciplinary projects
• Working as a client representative within a multi-disciplinary team for supervision construction works

YOUR TEAM

Working within our dynamic Power and Energy team with a wider team of 30. You will be collaborating with several senior colleagues to support on complex projects.

It is a proactive and diverse team that is focused on collaboration. You will be working on some interesting high voltage projects across the national and European space.

WHAT IF IT WAS YOU?

• HBO/Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or a Similar Qualification
• A proactive solution driven mindset
• Experience with AutoCAD is a plus
• Experience with System Engineering and BIM Modelling
• 6+ Years experience as a Civil Engineer
• Experience working with Steel or Concrete Structures within High Voltage Substations is essential.
• Fluent in English (Dutch is Advantageous)
• An individual with solid technical skills who is able to mentor Juniors within the business.
• Must be based in the Netherlands already. We can not consider relocating candidates for this role.

1. Telephone interview: We'll start with a telephone interview to get to know you better and discuss your experience.
2. HR/Manager Interview: You will meet with our TA team and the department manager to assess your technical and cultural skills.
3. Interview with the Business Unit Director: A meeting with the Business Unit Director to discuss your potential role and our strategic vision.
